I’m Sarah: an Herbalist, Botanical Intuitive, Energy Healer, & Yoga Teacher.
My Story
Welcome to Blue Dill. I weave together offerings of herbal medicine and energy healing in hopes of inspiring others to connect with plant medicine, to nourish daily routines seeking balance and motivation, and to support those seeking whole health and wellness.
My journey as a healer, botanical intuitive, and creative alchemist began began at my childhood home in an Appalachian holler. Romping through corn fields, picking veggies in a sun-soaked family garden, and foraging violets, dandelions, and wild-grown plants at a young age all influenced my path of plant seeker and energy caster. Each and every plant, tree, and flower has a story to tell - and I'm the bridge between human connection and plant realms.
Blue Dill is the cultivation of offerings that I've studied and been formally trained in throughout my life. I'm an Herbalist, a Botanical Intuitive, a Reiki Master Teacher, and a Taoist Yoga Teacher. I’m here to share herbal medicine, energy healing, yoga, seasonal wellness, and more on your journey to health.
Let’s brew some tea, settle in, and start the journey - together.
Sarah Elam is the founder, owner, and curator of Blue Dill. She’s an Herbalist, a Botanical Intuitive, a Reiki Master Teacher, and a Taoist Yoga Teacher.
Sarah was attuned as a Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui System of Natural Healing 13 years ago, in November 2013. She facilitates one-on-one energy healing sessions with clients in her private practice, as well as facilitates multi-level attunement trainings for small groups. Sarah’s Reiki sessions are guided by energetic intuition and include hands-on healing. Each person’s session looks different, but she includes plant and herbal allies to assist in energy integration and gemstone therapy that’s unique to each individual.
Energy healing led Sarah to the path of becoming a certified yoga teacher. In June 2014, she became a 200-hour certified Taoist Yoga Teacher, under the lineage of Paul Grilley. Taoist yoga is a practice that combines traditional hatha, yin, and restorative yoga postures, along with health arts like Tai Chi, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Ayurveda. Sarah teaches group classes and private instruction.
Having had connectivity to plants and their physical and energetic forms of medicine from a young age, Sarah completed a 1,000-hour herbal training program from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine seven years ago, in January 2019. This school built the foundations of Sarah’s herbal education in the areas of herbal medicine, botany, foraging, nutrition, medicine making, organic gardening, and the cultivation of therapeutic herbs.
While attending her herbal medicine training with the Chestnut School, Sarah also completed an Intuitive Plant Medicine course from One Willow Apothecaries in June 2017. The essence of this training supported Sarah to journey and work in the plant spirit medicine realms. It cultivated her practice of flower essences, dreamwork, medicine making, plant communication, earth acupuncture, land healing, and plant channeling.
Sarah practices community herbalism, sharing remedies, education, and plant spirit messages in her integrated health and wellness practice. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her dear husband who’s an artist and 500-hour yoga teacher, their beautiful fairy-of-the-wind daughter, and magical herb garden.
